Collaboration with iconic Latvian post-metal band TESA for their album "Inerval" started as a collaboration between the band and three members of Baltic Analog Lab - Ieva Balode, Sintija Andersone and Elīna Matvejeva as live cinema performance during their concerts in 2025.
This resulted in a music video I made for their third track of the "Interval" album.
"In the midst of past memories and troublesome future knocking on the door, reminding of past traumas the humanity has gone through, music is the only force that liberates and unites us overcoming the past and future threats.
Interval is a moment in-between the notes - the liminal space in-between past and future tensions where moment of release and hope can live."
Featuring musicians of Tesa band intertwining with found footage of WW2, the music video is entirely shot and contact-printed on 16mm film using hand made techniques of film printing and film processing at Baltic Analog Lab in Riga, Latvia.
